Vincent Lucente - Director  Email this person

Vince Lucente is currently the Intervention Specialist and Assistant Band Director, Percussion Ensemble Director, and Percussion Caption Head at Ursuline High School, in Youngstown, Ohio. He serves as the White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps Percussion Caption Head as a member of DCA and is the Front Ensemble Tech for Marietta High School. He also serves as the Assistant Director and Percussion Caption Head for Lake Effect Drum & Bugle Corps out of Erie, PA.Vince was also Elements first age out in the organization's history when he was a member of the snare line. His teachers include Janet Pemberton, Chris Kimble, John Peplowski, Rob Ferguson, Ron Coulter, Dr. Glenn Schaft, and Tom Freer. Vince has performed with the Youngstown State University Percussion Ensemble, Marching Pride, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps and Elements Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Vince also teaches privately to students in the Austintown, Berlin Center, Girard, Hubbard, Liberty, Struthers, Warren, and Youngstown Area.

 

Tim Pence- Percussion Caption Head

Tim Pence is currently the Asst. Director of Bands & Director of Percussion with Marietta High School (OH). Tim's day-to-day responsibilities include the musical and technical instruction for the fall marching percussion program and, in addition, he is the visual designer for their indoor program. Prior to his new partnership with Marietta, Tim was the long-time Percussion Director with Ridgewood High School (OH); a position he held since 1996. During that time, he and his students developed their proven approach which resulted in a continuous string of Superior ratings, as well as countless Best in Class and Grand Champion awards. In 2003, Tim co-founded Elements Indoor Performance Ensemble from Zanesville, Ohio. He served both on the Board of Directors and as Percussion Caption Head until his departure in 2009. During his tenure, Elements was the Mid East Performance Association State Champion in their respected class for 5 years straight. In 2005, Elements was the Winter Guard International Percussion "Independent A" World Champions.

 

Erin Simmons- Assistant Percussion Caption Head/ Bass Tech Email this person

Erinn Simmons is currently the Bass Tech at Ursuline High School and Marietta High School. In the summer months, Erinn is the Assistant Percussion Caption Head and Bass Tech at White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps from Dansville, NY. Erinn has been with Elements Indoor Percussion Ensemble since the groups founding in 2004. His instructors include Chris Hestin, Lee Beddis, Eric Ward, Zach Schlicher, Jon Merrit, Dave Clark, Rob Ferguson, Jared Andrews, Cyrus Yareff, Eric Caraway, Cory Dorun, Julian Goldthwite, and Vince Petrillo. Erinn has performed with Elements front ensemble in 2004, and bassline 2005-2009, Redline Percussion cymbal line in 2010, Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps in 2007 and 2009, and White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps bassline in 2011. Erinn also gives private lesson in the Youngstown and Coshocton Area.

 

Sean Bartlett- Visual Caption Head  Email this person

Sean began his marching experience with Edinboro University, where he spent two years as a member of the marching band. Sean's drum corps career started in 2004 with the DCA World Champion Empire Statesmen. Sean spent 5 years as a marching member at the Statesmen playing; Soprano, Mellophone, Euphonium, and Contra. In 2009, Sean was on Visual Staff and played Lead Trumpet for the Rochester Crusaders. In 2011, Sean was on Brass Staff for the White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps from Dansville, NY and was a soloist and the backfield Drum Major. Sean is also the Director of Lake Effect Drum & Bugle Corps from Erie, PA.

 

Jason Detec- Tenor Tech Email this person

Jason is currently the assistant marching band director at Norton High School in Norton Ohio. Prior to Norton he was the percussion director at Greenfield-Central High School where his indoor percussion group was a consistent WGI class A Finalist, Receiving the gold medal in 2007 and the silver medal in 2008. Jason has been involved in the marching percussion activity since 2001 as a instuctor/arranger and performer. He has written for multiple groups from Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana and has maintained an active private lesson studio. Jason studied percussion performance at Youngstown State, he is a member of Phi Mu Alpha, the Percussive Arts Society and a former member of the WGI percussion advisory board. He currently lives in Niles, Ohio with is wife Jessica.

 

Danielle Wendzicki- Cymbal Tech Email this person

Danielle Wendzicki is currently a student at Cuyahoga Community College majoring in Hospitality Management, and also the Cymbal Tech at Ursuline High School. This past summer she preformed with White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps from Dansville, NY in the front ensemble. Danielle has dabbled in many different sections in her marching carrer, going from color guard to percussion where she found her home. Her instructers include Brian Bennet, Rob Ferguson, Kevin Stahl, Tana Fox, Mickey Doile, and Mike Laird. Danielle has performed with Matix Indoor Percussion Ensemble in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and White Sabers Drum & Bugle Corps front ensemble in 2011. Danielle also gives private lesson in Youngstown, OH. She was a Cymbal line Tech at Brunswick High School during the marching season of 2009 - 2010.

Victor Blauser- Front Ensemble Tech  Email this person

Victor's musical interests started in high school where he played French horn and was drum major for the marching band. After graduation, Victor attended the University of Otterbein where he studied Music Education with a minor in French horn performance.
Victor's passion for the performing arts has lead to organizations such as: The Rochester Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, The Empire Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corps, and The Cincinnati Tradition Drum and Bugle Corps where he served as Front Ensemble Instructor. Victor is a member of the King Ave United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio where he instructs the Handbell Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble. Victor has also performed with Community organizations which include: Percussionist with the Capital Pride Brass Band of Columbus, and the Licking County Symphony Orchestra

The corporation is operated exclusively for educational purposes and strives to provide its members positive experiences by emphasizing education, leadership skills, and creativity through pageantry and the performing arts.

Elements is an indoor performance ensemble that is competitive at both the state and national levels. Elements will compete in both MEPA (state circuit) and WGI (national level).
